Brief Answer:
can be a boil

Detailed Answer:
Hi. To make the things very straight.
First of the the glands in the groin can not come now or retain for such a long time after an injury few years ago.
The bump on the hoo haw can be an infected part and responsible for swollen lymph nodes in the groin.
As the tests for STDs are normal, nothing to worry about.
This may in fact be a boil so getting resolved on its own. If so , it is not a serious matter.
and what is there to be embarrassing about?
Where exactly is the spot/ area you are getting this bump?
