What Causes Swollen Joints In The Hand?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Jan 2017
Question: I"m XXXXXXX male, 56yrs. About 4 months ago, while working on a car, I noticed my knuckles on my right hand were swollen. I had bumped my hand on something and realized something was wrong. Also while walking the dog, when the leash was pulling, it hurt in my fingers and knuckles. I can pull outward without much play on any finger, but when I pull on the ring finger there is alot of movement, it looks like the knuckle disappears and there is a noticeable indent. This is extreamly anoying because I'm right handed and can't seem to do anything now without it hurting. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Get investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your qeury.

From the pics and symptoms you are explaining, it is pointing towards some kind of arthritis.

There are many causes and types of arthritis.

So, for your perfect diagnosis to be made, get serum RA factor, serum uric acid, ESR, CRP levels fasting blood sugar level, xray of both hands done in AP view done and send me the report.

From xrays, I want to see the present condition of your joints and compare it.

Till then have cap. Rabiprazole empty stomach, tab. Aceclofenac 100mg + Serratiopeptidase 15mg thrice a day, Capsule Pregabalin75mg + Methylcobalamine 750mcg combination at night.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,

Dr. Chander Mohan Singh.
