Question: Hi yes I'm here at the beach with my family I have a 9 year old who woke up this morning with a swollen face and we don't know why. We went to the beach yesterday I admit it was a little hot yesterday there was a certain time I had to give her some water and put her in the shade afterwards we decide to leave and go back to our hotel room. My daughter has eczema also so I don't know if be in the salt water has contribute to her face swelling.

Brief Answer:
Could have been caused in reaction to sea water.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have checked the image and indeed I notice the swelling. It seems to have been caused due to some allergic reaction. In could have been due to the salt water or due to something else that she has come in contact with. In such a condition, I would suggest:
* Avoid her coming in further contact with sea water.
* Give her cetirizine which is available over the counter.
* If the swelling increases any further or if she develops wheezing or respiratory distress, you would need to seek urgent medical attention.
* Keep information about nearest medical facilities handy.

Regards
