What Causes Swelling On Wrist?

default
Posted on Sat, 5 Apr 2014
Question: I have a swollen wrist ,not easily observed. A very small blister is in the middle of my palm. I have itchy eyes and palm. My wife is away for sometime and I find it strange that I don't get an erection. One week ago I discarded newly prescribed blood pressure and blood thinning pills as I believe they gave me this reaction. Without the tablets my blood pressure is round figures 147>93 . I am 71 years old. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: Do not stop drug without doc's consultation... Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX It is true that drugs prescribed for high blood pressure can cause erection problems. However, I strongly advise not to stop taking such drugs on your own as your blood pressure might spike especially during physical activities including getting an erection. I suggest to discuss with your doctor about your problems with erection in order to prescribe the appropriate drug without stopping the ones you take for high blood pressure. With regards to the swollen wrist, it might be related to arthritis damages to the wrist joint. The small blister in the middle of your palm and having itchy palm and eyes, could be related to allergy reaction. Can you please provide a photo of the small blister in the middle of your palm in order to assist you further? Thank you! Dr.Sejdini
