What Causes Swelling Of Leg With Constant Pain?
Question: I'm having trouble with my left leg. For a few weeks my lower leg mid-calf to ankle has be swollen some with constant pain of different degrees. My left knee has pain below and above and my groin area has pain that come and goes. I can not lift my left leg as far as my right. A few years ago my erections have not been complete. The left side of my penis has what looks like an indention and the erection leans quite a bit left.

Swelling of leg along with associated constant pain, especially if associated with some am amount of discoloration of limb would suggest the possibility of Deep Vein thrombosis (DVT). Exact diagnosis will depend on good clinical examination by Surgeon and further assessment by Color doppler scanning.
The indentation and hardness in Penis is nothing but fibrous tissue which is known as Peyronie's disease. It causes curvature and bending to one side of erect Penis. Diagnosis will depend on palpation and examination.
I would suggest you to consult your Physician at earliest to rule out possibility of Deep Vein thrombosis.

there is no discoloration involved--will compression socks help?

It would be very important to rule out Vascular disease( arterial and venous) by getting a Color Doppler scan done. Definite management can only be possible after that. If there is co-existing arterial disease use of compression stocking may worsen the symptoms.
