What Causes Swelling In The Cheeks, Headache And Excess Mucus In The Throat?

Question: my cheeks are thick swollen and red. I have a headache. This is about six weeks. I tried all the home care remedies. Had arthrimycin (sp) from the doc for two weeks. I have a mucus clog in my throat, wake up with a sore throat and a mouth full of mucus. Nothing comes out my nose

also used albuterol inhaler 90 mcg and flovent 220mcg and cough drops

and a humidiffer

For expectorant purposes , you have tried everything. I would recommend one final try with n acetylcystein , which is a mucus thinner and can facilitate the mucus expectoration.

The antibiotics can be changed to broader spectrum such as gemifloxacin or moxifloxacin.
