What Causes Swelling Below Urethral Opening?

Question: Just noticed right below urethral opening it is a swollen, it's smooth when usually it is not, but no pain. I'm a 59 yr old female

1) Swelling you are describing is likely to be an urethrocele ( arising from urethra)

2) It is also likely to be Bartholin's gland enlargement.

3) These can be differentiated only after examination by a gynecologist. I suggest you see your gynecologist for examination. Both of these are treateable with minor procedure. Dont worry.
