What Causes Swelling And Tingling Sensation In The Upper Thighs?

Question: Hi , lately I've been having dizzy spells pretty bad. My knees and upper thighs have been swelling. My feet/hands have been going numb with tingling sensation, however lately my feet have been swelling and have splotches of purple all over, and the toenails appear purple. My legs have ulcerated lesions and I have oral lesions as well as petechia all over my body including inside my mouth and on my scalp. There are several lumps on my head, and one below each knee. I have 2 nodules in my groin lymph nodes, one on each side, along with swelling in Inguinal, armpit, neck lymph nodes. My face has been tingling and going numb, my tongue feels swollen along with my throat. My tongue has small white spots in it, and the tip feels burnt. I have been having shortness of breath. I have loss of appetite, I have to force myself to eat most days; I had lost 17 lbs from March 17- April 10. I have mild enlarged spleen, hand tremors, abdominal pains, diarrhea/severe constipation, dry heaves. I have aches in my joints and bones. My vision becomes blurry and recently the tingling and numbness in my face has spread behind my eyes. I have night sweats and am constantly burning up but clammy to everyone else or freezing cold. I have been brusing very easily, and my skin appears very pale. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in XXXXXXX and have not responded to any medication yet. Out of the last 6 lab results 4 of them showed my WBC to be increased, with one showing 16x10^3 and then 3 days later a drop to 8x10^3. My Hgb/Hct is always slightly high at 51.1% and 48.8, however is it possible that because I smoke my labs would not show anemia? My last labs just last week showed my WBC to be 8.6x10^3 and my Hct/Hgb to be slightly elevated. Also my TCO2 was high at 33 and my AGAP was low at 2. Do you think this is a blood cancer or Crohns? Multiple Myeloma? Leukemia? Lymphoma?

Brief Answer:
Crohn's is more likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

The symptoms you have mentioned suggestive of extraintestinal manifestations of Crohn's disease. The red rashes could be something called "erythema nodosum " which is an extraintestinal feature of Crohn's.
People with Crohn's disease often have anemia due to vitamin B12, folate, iron deficiency, or due to anemia of chronic disease. recurrent oral ulcers is quite common in Crohn's as in many other autoimmune diseases.
We have to rule out autoimmune vasculitis like PAN(poly arteritis nodosa) whichg also cause Reynauld's phenomenon leading to toe ulcer and numbness.

Multiple myeloma and other blood cancers are very unlikely.

Since you are very large number having multiple symptoms, a detailed evaluation is needed to confirm the diagnosis.
Consult a gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy and endoscopic directed biopsy to make a confirmed diagnosis.
Other investigations like ANA profile and other seromarkers are needed to rule out other vasculitis related diseases.
You can go for a bone marrow examination to rule out multiple myeloma and other blood cancers, even though they are rare.
Take hygienic food and cleaner drinking water.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
