Question: my wife bruised her leg Friday and we are supposed to fly from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX tomorrow.
she has discoloration and some swelling still but little to no pain

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Your wife should not have problems while flying and the airplane company should not ask for reports from the doctor. 2 stitches makes me think that the wound is not very big and deep.

So, continue taking care of the would as advises.
Take a pain killer if needed in case if the pain is bothersome.
The stitches should be removed at the 5-7th day. After that, use only vaseline on top if it, so it will heal faster.
It may take 3-4 weeks for the bruise to go away completely.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.
