What Causes Sweaty Palms, Difficulty In Sleeping And Abnormal Heartbeats?

Posted on Thu, 7 Sep 2017
Question: I have been getting some odd symptoms that I have not been able to trace down.

- Sweaty palms and feet on occasion
- Some chest pain by the heart, weird feelings that cause sweaty palms
- A pinching pain near nipple once in a while
- Difficult to sleep, tossing and turning at night
- Muscle Twitches
- Skipped Beats

I have had a lot of cardiologist tests such as ECG, Stress Test, Chest CT, Echo, and all cardiologist results seem good.

What else could this be?

Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that your symptoms are not suggestive of any heart disease and above that all your basic cardiac tests came normal so first of all relax and don't stress.

The symptoms are more of stress and anxiety disorder however I would like to suggest you to get your thyroid profile done to rule out any thyroid disorder.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Kind regards

Hello Doctor,
Thanks for your comments and suggestion. I actually had a full blood work done a few weeks ago including Thyroid and all was normal except a bit of low Vitamin D, it was on the high end of low.
Are there any suggestions you have for medical tests to continue to rule out anything serious?
What made you come to the conclusion it is stress and anxiety?
Thanks for your time.

Brief Answer:
Hello Again

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your valuable feedback.

If all the blood tests have also been normal then it is highly unlikely to have any organ dysfunction due to which you are getting these symptoms.

In fact these sounds more of anxiety disorder because whenever we are stress or think too much about things our brain releases some stress hormones in the blood stream to cope with the situation and as a result of this these type of symptoms show up.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind regards
