Brief Answer: Pay a Visit to ER Detailed Answer: Hi Thank you for asking. i am Dr Suleman and i would like to help you sort out the sudden onset of symptoms of your husband. Etiology that is acute and symptoms that broad get multidirectional. Could be simple UTI to gastroenteritis for the shivering and sweating and headache etc can be explained. Now the hip and shoulder joint pain needs a bit work up. So i recommend visit to ER and get your husband evaluated. Urine Routine Exam would be a good start.Once the husband is stabalised for first three symptoms then a rheumatologist opinion can be sought for the later two symptoms. Good Luck and take care.
