What Causes Sudden Onset Dizziness With Nausea And Vomiting?
Question: Background:
On 14-Dec, when I was in Sweden, after a long busy day I took my dinner around 9 pm and started preparation like bag packing etc., for my morning flight (on 15-Dec) back to XXXXXXX at 11am.
On 15-Dec, at 6AM. I started to measure a weight of one of my luggage using a portable weighing scale (you can hang your bag on hook and measure weight) which was approx. 23 KG.
First time, I got the dizziness for few seconds while standing and I suddenly sat on the chair for 1-2 mins. Then, felt puckish/vomit like feeling. After 30 mins, I took a glass of XXXXXXX warm water. Approx after 1 hour, I vomited and all the water I drank came out. It felt me little better.
After this incident, I did nothing and ate some breakfast. Took my flight and reached XXXXXXX on 16-Dec early morning.
Aftereffects: Whenever I lean forward for even 10 seconds, I feel dizziness.
When I sleep sideways on the right side of shoulder. I feel like I am spinning or that the world around me is spinning for few seconds.
Please suggest the medication and root cause behind it

Sudden onset dizziness with nausea/ vomiting in a young male who is nondiabetic and non hypertensive , is mainly because of either CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS or due to BENIGN POSITIONAL VERTIGO.
May i suggest you to start some medications like BETAHISTINE / CINNARIZINE for symptomatic relief .
I would suggest you to get your BLOOD PRESSURE checked regularly for few days , as changes in bp can also produce these symptoms .
Get your blood tests like CBC, BLOOD SUGAR , SERUM SODIUM /POTASSIUM .as changes in sugar/ sodium levels can also produce these symptoms .
If all these above are normal , and symptoms persist , then go for MRI BRAIN/ CERVICAL SPINE to rule out any lesion .
If mri is also normal, and symptoms persist , then get your cardiology check up.
But normally benign positional vertigo ,which is very common cause of dizziness improves with medications and rest within about 7- 10 days .
You can consult ENT SURGEON / NEUROLOGIST if symptoms persist.
