What Causes Sudden Hair Loss And Petechiae In A Child?
Question: Hi my 3 year old son woke up with sudden hair loss and petechiae. Blood test shows healthy child. He isn't tested but has seen a phycologist and they think he might be ocd, bipolar, adhd, and or possibly Asperger's. Son is saying one thing to a group of people and in other settings said something completely different. I need help...

what would cause hair loss when blood panel is normal and no visible signs of damage to skin on bare scalp?

There are many real medical possibilities here. Has he had blood drawn to check Vitamin C and D levels? Iron levels? Or it could be idiopathic alopecia, a genetic condition.

general blood drawn. iron level is fine. not sure what those other words r?
