Question: Iwas planting XXXXXXX flowers in my garden and I felt so weak I had a hard time getting to my cot on the patio. I finally got to be able to sit down. Finally made it to my bed. After about an hour I was able to take my blood pressure. My heart rate is normally low, usually upper 40 or low 50s. It was 76. My blood pressure is usually 140 over 40. This time it was 119 over 20.was I trying to have a stroke?

Brief Answer:
Should be evaluated further

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
The symptoms you are telling should be evaluated further.
It could be simple orthostatic hypotension (fall in bp with change in position) or could be serious heart or brain related issue.
Diastolic bp(lower bp) of 20 does not sound good to me. This difference in bp generally occur in individuals with leakage of valve (aortic regurgitation). It is diagnosed with 2D Echo.

So I'll advice you to go to a hospital & get yourself evaluated properly.
Thanks & take care

My husband blood pressure, gets very high in the mornings. He also experiences light headiness & dizziness throughout the day. He is on Lisinopril with HCTZ. He had surgery abot 4 years ago to remove a acoustic neuroma tumor that was on his hearing nerve & pressing on his brain stem. He has been suffering extreme ringing and dizziness for the past 4 years, but now the symptoms are much more severe, especially with the light head & dizzy spells & blood pressure. Help!!

I think I have orthostatic hypotension but I am not sure. When I stand up I get the normal dizziness but my vision also fades to black for a few seconds. Sometimes I get tunnel vision. I am a runner so I thought it could be having a runner s pulse, but no one on my team experiences vision loss or as much dizziness. I am not dehidrated either. Is there anything I can do to stop this? Or do I need to see a doctor?

I am 20 years old, and have Addison s Disease. Recently I have had rapid heart rate, orthostatic hypertension, petachie spots, fatigue, mood swings, pain in legs, head aches...etc What is most concerning is the high heart rate, it stays in the 80 s at the least at rest. And it is very difficult to get up after sitting, my heart starts racing and pumping harder. When sitting still I get a feeling like I m on a boat. Dizzy spells and shaky hands even though I ve had a meal and I usually need to eat something sweet to stop the dizziness.
