Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully passed through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to different possible causes:

- chronic lung disease: the fact that your oxygen saturation depend on the air temperature could indicate possible obstruction or COPD.

- heart failure. The fact that your symptoms are relieved by standing up position ( also called orthopnea) can be a sign of heart failure.

Coming to this point, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and performing some tests:

- a cardiac ultrasound to examine your cardiac function and structure
- respiratory function tests
- a blood gas analysis.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
