Question: While driving today, after a 6 hr trip. I experienced a loss of focus ability. I could not read road signs. I was unable to really see the road and other cars. My peripheral vision was fine, but I passed a construction project of mine and could not tell what was going on. I stopped, got out of the car & stretched. My shoulder was knotted up, but not painful. After a few minute of stretching I was just fine. I've experienced similar episodes early in the morning while watching TV before I get up for maybe 2 minutes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I noticed your symptoms are acute in nature and probably related to posture too. Since you started antihypertensive medicine recently, blood pressure fluctuation is the first possibility I would consider. BP fluctuations are more common during dehydration and sudden changes in posture.
Other close possibility is also related to brain and heart.
Since at both times, symptoms improved spontaneously, you need not panic. However I do not advise that you ignore it. You should get back to the treating physician. He/she should recheck blood pressures and other vitals. Check other risk factors for heart and brain ischemia and start treatment accordingly.
In the interim, drink plenty of water. Avoid abrupt posture changes.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
