Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A stroke doesn't work that way, and physical trauma is not a causative factor for a stroke, but it could be an indirect contribution that this sad event resulted in.

Possibly the stress of the event could have caused some amount of blood pressure fluctuations that could have resulted in the stroke, but otherwise I do not see how physical trauma can cause a stroke sir. Or other pre-existing factors like high cholesterol, diabetes, uncontrolled or poorly controlled hypertension, etc; that would have from the physical trauma become aggravated resulting in the stroke sir.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

I think I understand the physical aspect but I was thinking more about the stress from the momentary intense fear (hpertension). My nightmares of this event reveal the instant thought of being deaf and blind for the rest of my life. Only deaf in the right ear. Too much time to think when getting old.

Brief Answer:
Dealing with the stress is mandatory; blood pressure monitoring and meds

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Which is what I explained in the second half of my first response, that the stress could have caused some rise in blood pressure, and probably resulted in the stroke ultimately sir, I do believe this is possible.

I would recommend consulting a psychiatrist to help deal with what I believe could be post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and you need some help with dealing with something that serious sir.

You need to also learn more about relaxation techniques that can also help with dealing with emotional trauma, which can help you deal with any panic or anxiety momentarily.
