Posted on Tue, 21 Feb 2017
Question: I get up sometimes early in the mornings like 3 to 3.30 am and after an hour of simple meditation breathing exercises i feel stressed .I had an history of acidity etc in mid 90s and latter after retirement and about two years back I underwent treatment for piles/hemorroids in anus and that is almost healing but i have the oxidisation stress and it starts in the morning itself after a coffee .My family Dr (a gastro dr) advised me to take Antoxidant HC one perday for two to three weeks ie until my oxidisation stress disappears .Can i take the capsule after coffee in the early morning itself .

Brief Answer:
some more information please.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr.E,
Thanks for the query under healthcare magic.I have read it & understood your problem.
Getting up early for respiatory exercises &meditation is a good habit by itelf.
I have seen the photograph you had attached...which creates an impression of a lean &thin person with somewhat low energy level ( both psychologicsl &physical)... is it so Mr. E?
You say you are stresseed after the exercise...At your age when your dinner must be a small serving...to get exhausted after an early wake up & exercise is naturally possible.
Could you please explain specific symptoms you have with the stress? It would help me in suggesting you some remedy.
Thanks.

I feel tired due to the hardened area of the anus region that is shrinking now may be the reason for creating the oxidisation stress - yes I feel a sort of IBS ie irritable bowl syndrome - little latter in the day (after bowel is cleared I become alright - but still at the end of anus region it tries to come out and hence i see to that i dont strain myself to clear it -i have stopped taking laxatives for the last one week and i am only taking fibre (lactifibre )after food .I need to take cool items like coconut water or ice cream etc but at the same time I have to see that i dont get a cold -taking plenty of water along with grapes etc is help ful - the hardened area of the anus gave the gastro dr a block ie stoppage in the mid region of anus when he tried colonscope two years to examine .But he ruled out any cancerous region and diagonised it as piles and latter he inserted a thin scope in the anus (pile region where there was hemorroids ) and injected medicines there to heal the hemorroids.I was latter alright and went to USA also and now i feel little uneasy only during mornings but latter i become better. But slight verigo is still there if i do any job in a hurry etc. Thank u for yr quick response. Eswara chandramouli

Brief Answer:
Full medical check up with lifestyle changes would help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. E,
Thanks for the information. I have read it carefully &would try to help you to msnage the problrm very well.
2.The hard area at the anus & it being the possible csuse of oxidative stress is your main concern.. . This is probably added up by coffee drinking (following which you start getting the symptoms)Coffee can stimulate acidity ( you had it before.. &can reappear due to lifestyle changes.)
This acidity can result in an uneasiness, nausea causing the stress.
-The hard area near anus can follow the sugical pricedure 2 years back - resulting in a fibrous thick area &can be corrected if obstructing normal passage of stools.
You had hemorrhoids in past... they are known to recur... Similarly the thing protruding out with straining can be prolapsed haemorrhoid.
*To solve the problem &to remove stress from your mind all these things need to be consulted for.You can consult an Ano rectal surgeon for diagnosing /excluding the basic cause & manage it specifically . .
2. Now about the oxidative stress which usually ccreatesphobia in patient's mind.Oxidative stress is a condition when the free rsdicles in blood circulation exceeds the capacity of body to to tackle itIntake or supplimentation of antoxidents ( which remove excess free radicles ) in medicine form ( as you are taking ) can totally nullify the free radicles.
-One can combat the oxidative stress on personal level by-
- managing nutritional deficiency ( treating non absorbtion of nutrients by improving digestive system) Taking vitamins A/C/D/E/selenium in diet ..eating fresh veges/salads/fruits .Drinking lot of water.
-Avoid fast food/junk fiod./Sugar or processed
food.
-Prevent infections... which increase the
oxidation &following free radicles.
-Have some stress relieving activities..change from routine to bring sime happy moments &enjoyment in life.
-Exercises &meditation foes help in managing stress &alsi the excess free radickes.
-Avoid toxins.. as in smoking.
*I hope now you would understand that change in lifestyle /timely replacement of antoxidents /regular medical checj ups would definitely make life comfortable inspite of the oxidative stress too.
I hope the answer was both informative &useful to you. Any follow up query is welcome.
I request to close the query in case you fon't have any follow up query.
Thanks.
