Posted on Thu, 23 Jun 2016
Question: I awoke this morning with a strange and strong taste in my mouth that permeated my sense of smell as well.
I am 72 years old and in good health. I am taking no new medications. I am on 10 mg Lipitor, and
latanaprost 2.5 mg. This persisted for over two hours and seems to be lessening somewhat.

Brief Answer:
Monitor at this time.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this bast mouth taste that you have reported. I have reviewed this information. The immediate cause is not evident and I will like that you monitor only at this time. With it lessening already, there is more reason to be optimistic of a spontaneous resolution. Adopt a watchful waiting and only seek further care if this fails to resolve within 24hours. Keep me posted on your progress.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
