Brief Answer:
Stomach flu . IBS if chronic. Symptomatic treatment for now

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Stomach cramps are associated with diarrhea and stays as a sequelae for a while even after diarrhea stops. if it is short in history and acute onset, then stomach flu or gastroenteritis can be attributed to it.

if the pain, diarrhea, constipation, bloating etc are all continuous and recurrent symptoms and alternate with each other then you will need some work up to rule out some possibilities.

Right now , all you need is some antispasmodics, some pepto, soft like preferably BRAT diet (Banana, rice, apple sauce and toast etc. Prefer yogurt and peppermint in every meal as former is best probiotic and later is best antispasmodic and will surely help with the cramps. Drink plenty of fluids and use more fiber in a diet. Avoid spices, alcohol, stimulants, caffeine , smoking and overeating.

If the symptoms still persist get back to your doctor and let them run some labs to sort out the cause other than stomach flu.

i hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
