What Causes Stomach Bloating Along With Tender Breasts?
Question: I am a 50 year old female who hasn't had a period in a year and a half but last week I was experiencing bloating and tender breasts which was reminiscent of when I used to get PMS. I thought that was odd but didn't think much of it then today I started bleeding. Not heavy like a period but still, very strange. What could be happening?

The tender breasts with bloating sensation may reflect the hormonal changes in the body that occur during menopause. However since you did not have any period since last one year then sudden onset of bleeding even though it is not as heavy as you used to have during your regular cycles is a matter of concern.
