What Causes Stiffness Between Shoulder Blades, Tingling In Neck And Dizziness?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Jun 2016
Question: I have been to many doctors and specialist, and they don't know what the cause could be. I have been to a Neurologist, who thinks I may have migraines, but I have had migraines since I was a child, and this is different. I have a stiffness between my shoulder blades, and after sitting for 10-15 minutes, I get a tingling feeling at the base of my neck, that quickly moves up my neck, and into my head, behind my ear. If I put my head down or up, I get extremely dizzy. Do you have any clue as to what it my be? It's especially bad when my legs are crossed or knees bent.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You may be having cervical spondylosis or just muscular pain.

If your MRI is normal with non significant changes then nothing serious to worry about.
Please provide MRI images or report if available.

For treatment take pain killers with muscle relaxants and local analgesic spray over back.
Pain modulator drugs like Pregabalin, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline may be added.
Continue treatment for migraine.

Physiotherapy to be started after pain is controlled.
In some cases of migraine neck pain with occipital region headache also occurs.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
