Question: Both of my upper arms feels like they are being squeezed very tightly. It is night. What could be wrong? Is this something that can wait until the morning?

Brief Answer:
It can wait but further tests are required

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
If there is no worsening of symptoms, if arms are not pale and cold, then you can wait till morning. If there are such symptoms you should see doctor as soon as you can. However, in most cases this happens to circulatory issues in upper extremties due to thoracic outlet syndrome. You should see vascular surgeon for that. Other possible causes are cervical spine disorders so you should consult neurologist if symptoms persist. Now, try to lay down with elevated upper body, apply warm compresses on arms and take non steroid painkillers. Wish you good health. Regards
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
