default
Posted on Mon, 13 Oct 2014
Question: Hi,
It is regarding my menstruation problem. My periods have become irregular since 2 to 3 months.Actually i had missed periods for about 2 months in feb and mar 2014.After that it has been scarce in the following months. Then in the last month after having flow for 3 days, it has not stopped.I keep getting spots almost daily.I have undergone laproscopy twice before in the last 2 years for chocolate cysts.
Currently i am taking ayurvedic medicine(Yonipushpa juice and Evecare syrup)
Just wanted to know if the problem is serious.
Also i have been taking treatment since 2 years in allopathy for conceiving.Things did not work.Hence i am taking ayurvedic treatment for the last 8 months.

I will be taking up abdomen and pelvis scan in another 10 days.
Any idea on why m i getting the spots(light bleeding) daily.

Brief Answer:
there is no need to worry, but need examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It seems that you have endometriosis and have undergone some surgery for it.

The reason for spotting are numerous with common ones being hormonal imbalances, cervical polyps, cervical erosions, uterine fribroids and so on. So they need a blood examination as well as a pelvic examination and ultrasound to know the cause. The problems are not serious at all and can be managed easily.
Also about the fertility issues, as you have been operated for chocolate cysts, it is possible that some ovarian tissue may have also been removed with the cyst.

Also endometriosis is a major cause of infertility. So it is better to get a blood AMH level tested to know about the ovarian reserve and then if things are not working out a test tube baby shows good results.
Hope this satisfies your query.
