What Causes Sporadic Sharp Pains On Pelvic Bone?

default
Posted on Sat, 20 Sep 2014
Question: I have been having sporadic sharp pains just inside my right ileum pelvic bone. One month ago, unrelated digestive issues began and a surgeon removed my gallbladder and appendix, and have been feeling great since surgery. I had always thoughts sharp pain near the pelvis could be appendix related. However, today I woke extremely nauseated, and with the same sharp pain near pelvis bone. However today compared to anytime in the past the pain is not sporadic. There is a constant pain. When I sit at a 90* angle, bend over, or ESPECIALLY turn to my left twisting my upper body the pain is intensified and my nausea increases. I can control both if I lie down and do not move. What could possibly be wrong with me?

Brief Answer:
This could be due to the surgery itself.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX The pain that you experience now could be due to the surgery done. If so, it may last for 4 to 8 weeks from the surgery. I dont think you need to worry about it. You can take medicines for the pain and nausea in consultation with your Doctor or Surgeon. Do note whether you have any constipation or diarrhea. That you should tell your doctor. Also please see whether there is any lump or swelling at or around where you have pain. Do let us know if we can clarify anymore of your queries. Take care.
