What Causes Soreness On Penis Head After Having Intercourse?

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Apr 2015
Question: My partner & i are having issues with sex....after making love...he gets a very sore penis especially on the tip....it feels like it has been burnt. he also gets thrush in his mouth if we have had oral sex. I do not have any symptoms of thrush...we have both had assorted tests , which have all come back clear. This has been going on for ages now....he is very upset & it has put a huge strain on our relationship. I am 61 he is 49. We are actually planning on marrying soon & I am wworried for him & us to be honest. His sex life is very important to him & me too but very much for him. Is it at all possible that he could be allergic to me? Could I have an imbalance or something that would affect him? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. .... XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Adequate treatment and removal of predisposing factors will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
It seems that your problem is most likely to be due to genital yeast infection. Even though you had taken Flucanazole and canestan cream or vaginal tablets, the total eradication has not yet been achieved, it seems. How long you had been on flucanazole and at what strength?
Certain other predisposing factors for yeast infections like Diabetes mallitus, prolonged drugs, steroids, Hormonal problems to be looked for and to be removed if possible or should be under control.
Partner also should take treatment simultaneously. Sexual abstinence during the period of treatment also is a must to achieve a total eradication of yeast infection. Wish you a speedy recovery.
