What Causes Soreness In The Rectum And Floating Stools?

Question: the last few day i have had floater stools. No pain color normal. Some days I have 3 to 4 bowel movements. First stools are fairly normal size then get more like pieces after the next bowel movement. with more of a urgency. this has has happen ever since I had Radiation for prostate cancer 3 years ago. I feel good. ,except i get a sore rectum after awhile.I take vitimins supplements and fiber gummies. I eat pretty healthy. Cereal in the mornimg and a banana. Spinish sald and sandwich for lunch . Mostly chicken for dinner and wheat bread.

Hi and welcome to HCM.

Considering your irradiation, this may be colon stricture or stenosis. This means that colons is narrowed and stool may not easy go through it. You should get done colonoscopy to rule this out.

Also you should regulate your stool consistency by drinking more fluids, talking probiotics, vegetables and avoid chocolate, fried food and alcohol.
