Brief Answer:
DETAILED ENT EXAMINATION, X-RAY CERVICAL SPINE

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any associated burning sensation or ulcers ?

Kindly get back to me with details.

As per your clinical details, soreness could be due to

1. Sharp edged tooth, dentures, on medications (NSAIDS, beta blockers) or mouth washes.

2. Smoking or alcohol intake.

3. Hormonal changes - in menopause.

4. Associated with infections (viral, fungal or bacterial), diabetes, lichen.

I suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and give detailed history (medications or mouth washes), detailed ENT examination, x-ray cervical spine (neck stiffness).

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

I do not have any sores or ulcers, the only thing that has changed is they added another anti depressant at my check up last Thursday. I don't smoke, I only take medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol and anti depressants. Had a hysterectomy years ago
