Brief Answer:
May be Lymph nodal swelling on the back of the neck.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome, Dear XXXX!

I can well understand your concerns. Actually the swelling of the Lymph Nodes ensue with the infection in the draining area for that specific lymph node that may or may not be the same area where the lymph node is present.
It seems you have an infection of the base of the mouth. If a patient like you comes to my clinic I usually prescribe her naproxen (aleve available OTC) 500mg twice daily (not more than 1000mg) for pain. And Amoxil 500mg twice daily for 10days. It helps a lot of patients.
If the problem of swelling in back of neck persists, get physically checked by the physician. He may go for FNAC or some other tests and come to a conclusion.

Hope it helps you. Have a nice time and feel free to ask if you have any questions/doubts.
Regards!
