What Causes Soreness And Pain On One Side Of The Face?

default
Posted on Tue, 15 Nov 2016
Question: Hey, so last night when I was putting lotion on my face I noticed a knot/ball that hurt to touch, then when I woke up this morning, that side of my face/jaw, all the way up to my nose was extremely sore and tender. It hurts to apply pressure, and it hurts pretty bad. I don't remember hitting my face on anything, and that's something pretty memorable so I'm a little concerned. Any ideas of why this is happening? Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Probably an infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Most likely it is an infection that is causing your symptoms.

It could be an infection of the small hair roots of that area, or it could be also a tooth infected, mucosa of the mouth at the area you describe.

It needs to be evaluated by your Dentist, so, I suggest you to consult with him.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
