What Causes Sore Throat And Fever Post Non Penetrative Sex?
Question: Hello Doctor,
I went to a strip club 3 weeks back and one of the strippers gave me a handjob. She spit on my penis once and I immediately rubbed it off with my shirt and asked her not to do it. After a few minutes she does it again(she says its a mistake) and i rub it off again with my shirt, then proceed to wash my penis with water. I developed sore throat and fever yesterday(exactly after 3 weeks)I took tyllenlol which reduced both sore throat and fever, have no fever or sore throat now. How big is my HIV/STD risk?

The methods you have described has almost nil chance of transmitting HIV as saliva mode of transmission is very less.Moreover i hope you do not have any abrasions or ulcers over the contact area.So the risk for HIV or STD is very low.
The chances even if the partner has HIV is very very low leave alone if she is negative.
The respiratory infection can be due to contact with her or even through any other person.
Allay the fears you are most unlikely to have HIV/STD with the description given

Thanks for the clarification Doctor. No I did not have any cuts or abrasions. Do I still need a test?
Also how long does ARS fever and flu like symptoms persist? My sore throat and fever was just for 1 day.

I uploaded the photo. You can see the slight rash towards the centre right and top left. It was bit more red in the morning. How long does the rash usually last? and how big is the rash? I checked my back as well and I did not find any rash.

Though the image is not clear it appears that it could be a simple folliculitis or an acne.You can just clean the area with warm water twice daily and apply topical antibiotic creams like fucidin or clindamycin.It should subside/reduce by week.They can recur also.It is common even in HIV uninfected patients.so it is not related to HIV.Allay your fears.
