? Fibromyalgia

Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, the sort of symptoms you are having does go in favour of a muscle disease. It can be either inflammatory, that is there is some form of inflammation going on in the muscles for which they should have checked your CPK and LDH levels( You can check it once if they have or not). The other form is non inflammatory, which is not so serious but equally troublesome in the daily routine.

For the non inflammatory, I would like to know if they have checked your Vitamin D Levels and the thyroid levels cause both the defeciency can cause these symptoms you are having and once corrected it gets better.

Once we have ruled out all the causes, then come the fibromyalgia( it is more of a diagnosis of exclusion).

So i would like to ask you a few questions pertaining to it:

1. Do you feel restlessness or irritable?

2. Is your sleep pattern disturbed?

3. Do you tend to be forgetfull with things?

4. Any stress levels or some event which has been stressful in the recent past?

Do let me know these queries and check for the blood test results. Would guide you further from here

Is it fibromyalgia

Good evening

Thank you for your reply

Well, Vitamin D deficiency can be a cause of all the muscle fatigue and soreness you are experiencing as well. The additional symptoms which I had asked from you can be a part of Fibromyalgia. But considering you are so young I would not ask you to start medications for now.

Firstly, Take vitamin D supplements for a period of 3 months at least. Sometimes once the level comes to normal all these symptoms tend to go off. SO till then , I wont suggest you any fibromyalgia medication

For the next 3 months, what you need to do is:

1. Exercise( initially it pains when u do but it will get better). It will help refresh your body and get your better sleep

2. Regulate your sleeping hours.6-7 hours of a sound sleep is a must Once you sleep better the pain will go down.

3. Try to de stress yourself. Meditation will be helpful in that aspect

4. Develop one hobby, and work on it. It will help you distract your mind and give you peace

Cause, considering your age I dont wanna to you to start medications for Fibromyalgia. Try these therapies for a while. It should help you. Incase after 3 months the condition is same, then we can consider starting you on some medication for it. But either way, these therapies should go on along with medication as only medicines will never help Fibromyalgia go off.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Got stuck in the shift

Well, at this stage it doesnt. That s why I didnt recommend you to start any medications. Vitamin D Deficiency can cause similar symptoms of muscle soreness, fatigue, vague bodyache and joint pains. Hence it is needed to correct it first. Fibromyalgia we normally dont expect in a young male.

So, I am suggesting you do the treatment for Vitamin D and follow the advise I told you. Wait and watch for a couple of months and see if it improves. IF it still doesnt, maybe then we can think on the lines of Fibromyaglia.

PS: Do destress yourself

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D Defiency

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Sorry for the delayed reply. Had a heavy day

Well Vitamin D is deficient in 90 % of the people as your diet does not have enough amounts and we dont have much exposure to sunlight. Very few people develop the symptoms though like myalgias, arthalgias and hence the treatment is needed

Amongst the food supplements, we have fish which is very rich in Vitamin D.
