What Causes Small Pinpoint Spots Of Petechia Bilateral On Labia Majora?
Question: I have recently noticed that I have small pinpoint spots of petechia bilaterally on my labia majora. There is no itching, burning or pain. No problems with urination or bowel movements. What could be the possible causes of these spots?

The cause for these petechia could be multiple.
Some things that occur are dermatitis due to allergy to cloth or recent change of detergent, fungal skin infection with superimposed bacterial infection, varicosities causing dilated veins shown as petechia.
Some estrogen excess can cause spider naevi which are dilated arteries.
The two conditions I would be more concern is VIN( vulval intraepithelial neoplasia) and vulval cancer. But these occur with symptoms such as a lump or an ulcer.
If these do not subside in the next two months, visit a gynaecologist for examination.
