Question: hi there, i had my l/o 3 years ago in August and ever since I have had some small lumps on my nipple. they have never caused me much concern but recently one was getting a bit bigger, I squeezed the spot and some puss came out, I've maybe done this once or twice since and now I feel like I have a bad infection where I have squeezed. Brief Answer:
Possibility of infected Montgomerry tubercles

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,

The small lumps on nipple dating back from pregnancy are normal physiological Montgomerry tubercles. There are multiple elevation which develop and its a normal physiological process during pregnancy.

Because of cracking of nipple or areola sometimes due to dryness these tubercles may secondarily get infected.

Exact assessment of severity depends on clinical examination. I would suggest you to consult your Physician for further assessment. In the meantime I would suggest you the following

1. Local Application of Mupirocin Ointment
2. Start Antibiotic: Amoxicillin+Clauvulinic acid
3. Anti-inflammatory : Ibuprofen will be very much helpful.

Do consult your Physician at earliest.

Do get back to e if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take Care
