slightly elevated

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Albumin (A) and Globulin (G) are the 2 major proteins present in the blood. Albumin is normally present in greater numbers than globulin.

The normal A/G ratio can vary slightly from one lab to the next but in general the upper limit is approx 1.5 to 2.

Your value is slightly above the normal.

An increase means that the albumin levels are increased relative to the globulin levels.

This most commonly occurs if there is some level of dehydration causing relative high amounts of albumin or if there was blood infusion of excess albumin amounts.
This can also occur in hypothyroidism (low levels of thyroid hormones, side effect steroid medication, low levels of globulins.

A decrease in the A/G ratio is associated with a possible risk of more serious conditions.

It is possible that none of these is present ( since it is only a mild increase) especially if there are no symptoms and your other test results are normal.

Summary: (1) most labs have an upper limit of 2
(2) your value is slightly above the upper limit
(3)may not indicate any serious problems if other tests normal and no symptoms
(4)some causes are dehydration, infusion of excess albumin, hypothyroidism, low globulin, steroid use

I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
