Question: Im very frustrated . I took stress test , holtermonitor , and ekg test came back negative . I was diagoned with gerd in february and was told that was my problem . Two days ago i had my hand on my pulse ans realized when i get a pain beneath my chest near upper part of stomach my heart stops . Then it goes regular . So i downloaded an stethoscope app and turned my iphone into one . I was able to record my stoppage of heart and i played for my doctor today and we did ekg test . This time he diagoned me with sinus pulse but not to worry until i get older . Im 32 years old . No referell to cardiologist nothing . I was wondering should i worry ?Also i attatched a pic . I get a pain there and my heart stops . Its usually after i eat and if i lay down .

Brief Answer:
You shouldn't worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!

Your symptoms are typical for GERD and as long as ECG, holter and stress test are normal you shouldn't worry about.

It's typical for GERD pain after eating especially if you lay down immediately so you shouldn't worry. I suggest using antacids (malox) PPI (pantoprasole) and to avoid spicy food.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

Brief Answer:
Can you upload your ecg please?

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Sinus pause if it last more than 2.5 seconds is worrisome otherwise nothing to worry about.

However I would like to check your ecg by my self to give you a more accurate opinion. Can you upload your ecg please?

I'm waiting for your ecg to be uploaded.

I do not have the ekg. I"m in the military so my doctor kept my record for his viewing. The only Thing I have is the audio recording I took of my heart from my phone. I just tried attaching the file but it only allows images only. Is there any other way I can send this file to you?

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Unfortunately my level of expertise on computers is poor and I don't know how to answer that question about uploading audio data.

However ECG image is necessary to give you an accurate evaluation. Heart auscultation (heart sounds) isn't as accurate as ECG.

In order to evaluate the risk of future cardiac events I would like to suggest the following examinations:
- Holter monitoring (to exclude any sinus pause longer than 2.5 seconds).
- Cardiac Echo (to exclude any heart abnormalities)
- Stress test

If everything will result within normal parameters than you shouldn't worry about that.

Hope this was of help!
