Brief Answer:
I suggest a sunscreen along with a skin lightening cream.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have understood it.

Tanning seems to be the main issue here as these body parts are always exposed to sun. Dryness can also lead to a dark appearance of skin in these body areas.

You must use a broad spectrum sunscreen at all exposed skin, throughout the day, that which offers both UV A as well as UV A protection.
A sunscreen with minimum spf 30 would be useful.
Neutrogena dry touch ultrasheer sunscreen is a broad spectrum sunscreen that is available OTC.
Reapply every 2-3 hours.

Besides, you may use a skin lightening cream containing one or more of the following ingredients like Glycolic acid, Kojic acid, Hydroquinone, arbutin etc to gradually lighten the dark color/ XXXXXXX

The mechanism of action of these ingredients is either to exfoliate existing pigment Or inhibit synthesis of new pigment Or both and therefore fade away the dark complexion/ XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Yes, you may use Hydroquinone cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

This cream contains 4% hydroquinone. It is a good option. You may use it once daily before going to bed.

Also use a sunscreen during day time, throughout the day. Reapply every 2-3 hours.
