Brief Answer:
Herpes zoster

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the query and its elaboration of symptoms. I appreciate such descriptions which are classical.
Kindly upload photos if possible.
In my opinion your son seems to have Herpes zoster flare.
You should meet a family physician for a prescription of Acyclovir if indicated. We generally do not recommend it if the symptoms started over 48 hours. But few doctors recommend to avoid pain, and recurrence.
Meantime you should apply CALAMINE lotion over the rash and take IBUPROFEN tablet for the pain.

Please get back to me if you have further query.

All the best.
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
