What Causes Silvery Scaly Skin Lesions On The Back And Arms?

Question: My 49 yr old son has diabetes, and many other problems. He has had this skin conditions for several years. It seems to be getting worse. Here are some pictures of it, can you tell us what it is? And does this have anything to do with he diabetes?

I saw the pictures.
He has silvery scaly skin lesions on the back and in the back of his arm.
These lesions look like psoriasis.
It has nothing to with diabetes.

Fix an appointment with a dermatologist for clinical examination, confirmation of the diagnosis of psoriasis and for prescription.
