Question: It is 95 degrees here in IL and my 91 year old mother is shivering. What could be wrong?

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

She might be having one of following reasons.

1) Allergy.
2) Flu.
3) Fever.
4) Dehydration
5) Drop in BP
6) Low blood sugar.

First step in such a patient would be to give her an anti histamin+water and bit of sugar if that doesn't work taking her to the doctor would be the best step so that she can be managed accordingly for the problem she might be having .

Do check her BP and sugar and act accordingly.
