Pain in the left side of the abdomen could be a due to splenic problem or colonic problem like colitis.
Splenic lesions are excluded by Ultrasound abdomen and colonic lesions by Colonoscopy.
If all the routine investigations are normal,then it could be musculoskeletal pain.
I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4mg to my patients with similar complaints.
