What Causes Sharp Pain In The Abdomen Of A Diabetic?

Question: Have been experiencing sharp pains in right upper quad of stomach area about 2 inches from midline. Then I feel crappy all day and tired. Age 67 weight appx 235lbs. type 2 diabetes last tested with 7 A1C. is this gallbladder or pancreas? Should I get appt. or will it go away?
am taking Byduron once a week, glimepiride 2/day,januvia 1/day, actos 1/day,toprol xl 100mg 1/d, 81mg low strength aspirin 1/d, effexor 1/d, crestor 1/d, zetia 1/d tricor 1/d, lisinipril1/d , omeprazole 2/d, tudorza2/d . plus multi vitamen and 2 aleve 2/d.

Right upper quadrant pain typically represents a problem with the hepatobiliary system. In particular, evaluation of the gallbladder is important because cholelithiasis and its complications are a frequent cause of RUQ pain.
Gallbladder can get infected or get stones, and usually causes severe, intermittent upper abdominal pain on the right side, which is triggered by the ingestion of fatty or greasy foods.
I would suggest you to go for an ultrasound of abdomen initially to rule out stones or infection in gallbladder.
Diabetes further increases chances of having gallbladder problem.
