I appreciate your concern

Vertigo is the sensation of movement in the absence of real movement. The type of vertigo needs to be determined to rule out a central cause. If the vertigo is central then brain imaging may be required to look for possible ischemia, bleed or a CNS lesion.

A neurological exam would look for associated mixed horizontal nystagmus , diplopia, development of visual field deficits, difficulty speaking, weakness in any of the limbs. All of these indicate a central cause. Blood pressure should also be measured and if elevated should be brought down gradually.

I would advise an ER consultation. If none of the above are found then peripheral causes like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, Labyrinthitis etc can be worked up an treated accordingly.
