What Causes Severe Tingling In Hands And Face?

default
Posted on Mon, 26 May 2014
Question: I experienced severe tingling in my hands and face primarily around nose and mouth. It is usually accompanied by my mouth tightening and maybe a little tightening of my hands. I have had this happen very sporadically over the years and generally during sexual activity. However, within the past few days it has intensified with symptoms everyday (not related to sexual activity) to the point where I couldn't even function. Begins with my right eyelids fluttering, then tingling sensation in nose and mouth and fingertips upward into wrists. A few hours ago it was so severe that my hands contorted in and inward direction w fingers straight and became so severe around my mouth I was having difficulty speaking. I then felt the tingling in my knees and the muscle tightening spread up my arms and into my shoulders and neck. I'm already sore from how tightened up I was. This lasted about 10-15 minutes and I was folding laundry when it came out of nowhere. I take Zoloft 200mg, vyvanse 70 mg and protonix 40 mg. this has also been accompanied by shortness of breath. I may have iron deficiency anemia but bloodwork never showed it. I finished my menstrual cycle app a week ago and I have a heavy flow for 3 days. I'm certain I've forgotten something but hopefully this tells enough. Thank you

According to your history some differential can be given in you case.

There is possibility of hypocalcaemia leading to tingling and deformity in hand and fingers and all over body.
