Question: 32 yr old male, 6' 184 lbs, good health. Experiencing severe itching on his head, worse on his scalp, but also feels like he has things crawling on his face, the back of his neck, and sometimes down one arm. No redness, swelling, or sores. No history of allergies. Says the problem is always there, but it flares up at times and is interfering in his ability to work. Parasite of some kind?

I have gone through your complaints and his symptoms could be either due to lice infestation or delusions of parasitosis.
Has he got his scalp checked to rule out lice infestation ?
Is he having any other ailments or taking any medicines?
Is there history of head injury or head surgery in the past?
I would recommend him to take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily for 10 days. This should subside his itching.
If his itching doesn't improve in 10 days consult a doctor and go for complete evaluation including the lab tests.
