What Causes Severe Pain Under Both The Ears, Head And Swollen Face?

Question: I woke up yeaterday with severe pain under both ears. It hurts to tuen my head. I feel slight pressure in the ears as well. It feels like I got hit on each side of my face and is a bit swollen. I dont think these are my lymph nodes, but i could be wrong. I dont have a sore throat, or runny nose, but im swaowing some nasal drip yucky stuff when i swallow. Ive had throat problems before, but this feels very different, i fear it may be something serious. I went to urgent care, they sent me home saying to take ibuprofin. Saw no ear infection. It hurts bad at night i cannot sleep.

I need few more details to arrive at a diagnosis, like
Are you running temperature? Any hearing problem right now?

As you have been examined by your doctor and he saw no signs of infection then you should not be worried about it.
If there is no fever, then just continue with Ibuprofen. It will settle in couple of days. You can add acetaminophen to ibuprofen to relieve pain.

If it persist then I would request you to meet your doctor.
There may be need to do the ultrasound scan and x ray to be sure.
