What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Scapula Area?
Question: I have moderate to severe pain in the left scapula - sudden onset. Bending my head forward seems
to pull on it and increase the pain. This started hours after PT, at which the therapist stretched my
neck very gently. I have rotator cuff problems on the right side (long term) and just beginning to have
something similar on the left. But this is in a totally new area that's never been a problem before.
Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Piroxicam with tizanidine
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on your description, the onset being acute, this is most probably related to the stretching exercise. The muscles related to the scapula especially the medial end can get very sore and present with dull , deep and aching pain.
Instead of advil, I would advise piroxicam once a day in combination with tizanidine 2 mg thrice a day. Most likely it will resolve in a few hours completely.
Give the muscles some rest and avoid overstretching.
Please consult your doctor before taking any medication
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
