Brief Answer:
Sinusitis needs to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

It seems from the history that your husband is having pain behind the left eye starting in the evening.
This may not be related to stroke. The most common cause to be ruled out is sinusitis probably frontal sinusitis. In this frontal sinusitis the head ache is not present in the day because of overnight drainage of the sinus and headache starts in the evening because of obstruction to drainage of the sinus.
The relief of pain by the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and presence of tenderness on applying pressure above the eyes usually confirms the diagnosis.

The other things to be considered are primary headaches like migraine and vascular headaches as he had a episode of stroke.

Hence as of now he need to take analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs and if it is not responding, evaluation needs to be done by examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
With regards
