Posted on Thu, 14 Apr 2016
Question: Hello,
I had a D&C procedure for a non viable pregnancy last week and ever since I have been having these leg cramps that come and go. I have read online and because most of the times it suggests a blood clot I am not quite sure what I should do. It is not unberable pain but it can extend from my calf to my upper thigh and lower back. It is mostly felt after a lot of movement

Brief Answer:
It could be due to low haemoglobin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
It could be due to low haemoglobin or anaemia also.
Yes it could be due to blood clot also for which you have to go for doppler ultrasound of leg to rule out deep vein thrombosis and you have to repeat your pelvic ultrasound to rule out retained product of conception.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
