What Causes Severe Itching On The Scrotum?
Question: Dear Sir,
Sir i am very embarrased to show you this but i have no option.. i feel so much itching in my scortum and arse section,+ the condition is getting worse, didnt went to a doctor as i was very embarrased , cant imagine this situation even though i have a pretty good hygeine, one physician here recommended me a cream names a clotrimazole but they all are very temporarly relieves, please help me after seeing the photos that i have attached.

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Images.
Yes, you do have fungal infection in the groin area i.e tinea cruris.
Topical antifungals alone may not be sufficient in eradicating the infection therefore I would suggest you to also take an oral antifungal in addition to the topical antifungal cream.
I would advice tablet terbinafine 250mg (Daskil tablet Or Zimig tablet) once daily for 2 weeks.
In addition you may also apply 1% terbinafine cream, 2x daily for 4 weeks.
A tablet of cetrizine 10mg once daily in evening would provide you symptomatic relief from itching.

Will the infection end., so that i do not eat citrizene after that, as i dont want a tablet to relieve my iching., how long the itching symptom will be present?

Cetrizine is only for a short period of time at the start of treatment

You may take cetrizine once daily in evening for a week or 10 days. Once the fungal infection starts resolving on oral and topical antifungals you would not need to take cetrizine as itching would also resolve on antifungals.

i have got terbinafine tablets usp 250mg.. named aa terbfest.!
